This is a easy hike with poor fishing at Weller Lake. There is limited
camping (camp stoves only) at the lake. Because of the fragile
alpine tundra, it's recommended that camping be below
timberline. From the parking lot, the trail crosses a new (2013)
metal bridge across the Roaring Fork River. The trail follows some
switchbacks to a very small bridge just before the lake.

crossed by jumping from one to another. At the south west corner
of the lake, you can see the remains of a campfire that started a
forest fire. The dead and still standing timber to the south east of
the lake resulted from this fire.
