This follows Tabor Creek and ends at the top of a pass which looks out onto the basin of Anderson and Petroleum Lakes. A side hike, using orienteering skills, can be made to Tabor Lake to the west. Follow an old jeep trail down to Lincoln Creek. After crossing the creek, the trail climbs steeply and in 1/2 mile crosses a wooden bridge over an aqueduct. Then becomes more moderate, crossing through a meadow and forest. There are cairns in areas where the trail is hard to follow. The last section leading to the pass is steep. The trail does not go to Tabor Lake, although the lake can be reached using orienteering skills.
