General Description

The Picket Pin Trail begins off the Trappers Lake Road. It follows Picket Pin Creek for two miles before angling cross country to enter the east end of Picket Pin Park. This trail traverses dense spruce-fir forests with less aspen parks than the Lily Pond Trail.

Directions from Meeker: Picket Pin Trail is located 40 miles east of Meeker. Take State Highway 13 east out of Meeker for one mile; turn right at Trappers Lake Road for 5 miles to the parking area at Picket Pin Creek.
