This loop takes off at the Lost Creek trail and merges into the Long Park- Dead Horse Road before finally coming back on the Long Park Trail. Starting up the Lost Creek trail, the trail follows the Lost Creek drainage passing through open meadows and aspen stands. The trail may be very bumpy in the late spring/early summer due to horse and large game travel. The creek crossings along this trail may run high late into the summer depending on the amount of snowfall of the previous winter. The junction of Long Park-Dead Horse Road and Long Park Trail is poorly marked, and it may be difficult to see Long Park trail from the road. Long Park Trail descends through aspen stands and open meadows, offering excellent views of the White River's North Fork drainage.
