Hill Creek Campground is located 31 miles east of Meeker in the South Fork White River drainage, at an elevation of 8,000 feet. It is an undeveloped camping area with a toilet. The access road is steep and rough so four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended. RV's and trailers are not recommended. The Hill Creek Trail #2255, Fowler Creek Trail #2256 and Peltier Lake Trail #1826 begin near the camping area. Facilities: The campsites are not developed. A pit toilet and horse hitching rails are the only facilities. The nearest additional facilities are located at the South Fork Campground, approximately 4 miles south.
Directions from Meeker: Hill Creek camping area is located 31 miles east of Meeker at the Hill Creek Trailhead. Take State Highway 13 east out of Meeker for one mile; turn right on County Road 8 and travel 18 miles; then turn right on County Road 10 (South Fork Road) and travel10 miles. Turn left on the Hill Creek Road and travel 1 mile to the camping area.
