The Sleepy Cat area offers access to a number of four-wheel drive roads, trails, and hunting. It is located in the northwest portion of the Blanco Ranger District, northeast of Meeker.

Salt Park Trail - The Salt Park Trail begins at the end of the Morapos Creek Road, north of Meeker. It leads to Salt Park, north of Sleepy Cat Peak and links to a number of other trails.
Wilson Mesa Trail - This trail is located north of Meeker and south of Craig. It follows Morapos Creek and Pine Creek until it reaches the destination, Salt Park, northeast of Sleepy Cat Peak.
