Chapman Campground is located adjacent to the Fryingpan River. If you are an angler, the lower Fryingpan is classified as a gold medal water by the Colorado Division of Wildlife. There is also a small reservoir located within the campground. The campground is located in a beautiful setting. It is at the base of a wide valley and is surrounded by, and filled with, lodgepole pine trees. It is located 38 miles east of Carbondale at an elevation of 8,800 ft.

1) Camping units for auto and trailer, pickup campers, motor homes and tents.
2) Water available from faucets.
3) Vault type toilets.
4) Camping units have tables and benches, fire rings and parking spurs.
5) Graveled campground roads.
6) Sites 15-20 and 42-83 on reservation system. Call 1-800-280-2267 for reservations.
