Rocky Fork Trail
This trail is fairly steep for the first half mile, then levels off to a gradual climb until it connects with Road #528. This trail is available for hiking, horseback riding and fishing. Fishing is fair in the stream for Brook Trout along Rocky Fork Creek. The trail climbs steeply as it switchbacks up to Koby Park on an abandoned logging road. The trail ends upon reaching Koby Park Road. Rocky Fork Trail is a moderately difficult trail, with a 2,600 foot elevation gain from beginning to end. This trail is 9 miles long and usage is moderate.

Directions from Carbondale: From Carbondale travel east on Hwy. 82 to Basalt. Turn left into downtown Basalt and follow the Fryingpan River Road about 13 miles. Take a right at the anglers access road below the Ruedi Dam, cross the river and follow the road to the left until it dead ends at the trailhead.

Seasonal Information:
Normal Summer Season: June through September (NOTE: Snow may obstruct the trail at high elevations during the Spring and Fall months.) . Normal Winter Season: November through April (NOTE: Conditions may vary depending on snowpack.) .
