FACILITIES
Yeoman Park campground has 23 campsites with picnic tables, fire ring grills and 11 sites have tent platforms; 15 of the sites are within a forested area while the other 8 are in the open. Eighteen sites can accommodate RV's 15-30 feet long and 6 sites have room for vehicles longer than 30 ft. There are 3 vault toilets and drinking water is available at hydrants throughout the campground. Trash receptacles are also provided for garbage disposal.

Handicapped Accessibility:
Part of the Yeoman Park campground has been redesigned to accommodate Forest visitors with disabilities. Two campsites, one on either side of the accessible vault toilets in Loop A, are equipped with a modified picnic table and a low fire grill. There is also a fishing platform on Brush Creek near the park entrance.

ATTRACTIONS:
WILDLIFE - As listed in the Colorado Wildlife Viewing Guide, Yeoman Park is a good place to view an extensive beaver colony. There are many opportunities to watch small mammals such as tree and ground squirrels and to see birds of prey like the red-tailed hawk.

HISTORY - A visit to the historic mining town of Fulford is just a few miles up FDR 418.
Foundations of an old Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp built in the 1930's can be seen in the meadow northwest of the campground.

TRAILS - The Yeoman Park Discovery trail (200 yards) is accessible to those who have disabilities. There are interpretive signs encouraging visitors to use their senses to experience the nature of Yeoman Park.
The Lake Charles trail #1899 (5.35 miles) begins near the Fulford Cave campground and goes into the Holy Cross Wilderness.
The Iron Edge Trail, #1873, (7.4 miles) is a horseback riding and hiking trail that leads to the Peter Estin ski hut and then goes on to Lake Charles.

FISHING - Brush Creek, running through the park, has both brook and rainbow trout.

SCENIC DRIVE - A drive up Hat Creek Road, FDR 416 (a rough 4-wheel drive road), goes to the top of a ridge where there is a panoramic view of Red Table Mountain to the southwest and beyond that the Maroon Bells near Aspen.

Directions from Eagle: Go southeast 10 miles on Brush Creek Road , County Road 307, then left on East Brush Creek Road, FDR 415. Travel 6 miles and turn right into the campground.

Directions from Vail: Travel west on I-70 to Eagle (exit #147). Turn left and drive into Eagle. Turn left on Capitol Street and follow to Brush Creek Road. Turn left and follow Brush Creek Road 10 miles south of Eagle. Turn left on East Brush Creek Road, FDR 415. Travel 6 miles and turn right into the campground.

Brush Creek General Forest Area - This area south of Eagle includes both the East and West Brush Creek drainages.

Crooked Creek Pass Loop - This loop south of Eagle, links Yeoman Park, Hat Creek, Crooked Creek Pass and Sylvan Lake. It is recommended for mountain bikes or high clearance, 4 wheel-drive vehicles.

Firebox Park Loop Mountain Bike Trail - The Firebox Park Loop is located south of Eagle, on Hardscrabble Mountain. It consists of a 4.5 mile climb on dirt road and 4 miles of mostly descent, on jeep trail.

Fulford Cave - Fulford Cave, south of Eagle, was designated the 8th largest cave in Colorado and offers a great variety of features to explore.

Fulford Trail Loop Mountain Bike Trail - The Fulford Trail Loop is located south of Eagle, near Yeoman Park. It consists of 5.7 miles of gradual climbing on dirt road and 3.6 miles of descent on a jeep road, the Old Fulford Trail.

Ironedge Trail - The Ironedge Trail begins at the Fulford Cave Campground. It crosses East Brush Creek, leads up to the ridge separating the Lime and East Brush Creek drainages, then down to Lake Charles.

Newcomer Loop Mountain Bike Trail - This relatively short and easy loop is located south of Eagle, near Yeoman Park. It utilizes mostly gravel road, with a one mile portion of downhill jeep track.

Yeoman Park - Up East Brush Creek, south of Eagle, Yeoman Park provides a good area for viewing scenery and wildlife activity.

Yeoman Park to Fulford Cave Campground Mountain Bi - This relatively short and easy ride follows a dirt road from Yeoman Park Campground to Fulford Cave Campground.

Yoeman Park Discovery Trail - This short interpretive trail in Yeoman Park, south of Eagle, is designed to accommodate visitors with disabilities.
