FACILITIES
Sylvan Lake State Park offers 50 campsites in 2 areas. All sites have picnic tables, fire rings, grills and sufficient level parking for any size RV. Loop A or Fisherman's Paradise has 14 sites, parking lot style, next to the lake. Loop B, Elk Run, has 36 sites that are more spaced out. All sites are in the open with some small trees in the park. There are 2 sets of flush toilets and a number of portable toilets for use. Drinking water is available at hydrants throughout the park and there are places for trash disposal.
There is a small boat ramp for the launching of nonmotorized or electric motor boats. Sufficient trailer parking is located next to the boat ramp.

ATTRACTIONS
FISHING - There are excellent year-round opportunities to fish for brook and rainbow trout. The Colorado Division of Wildlife stocks Sylvan Lake with both species. Fishing is good from the shore or from small boats.

BOATING - Small boat use is popular on the lake, but visitors are reminded that only nonmotorized boats and boats with electric motors are permitted.

HIKING TRAILS - Antones Trail, #1871, (4.0 miles) is accessible from the Powerline Road,FDR 414, a few miles up from the campground.
Sneve Gulch Trail, #1872, (2.8 miles) starts across the road from the campground, and climbs up to a saddle on Eve Mountain.

Directions from Eagle: Follow Brush Creek Road 10 miles south . Turn right onto West Brush Creek Road, FDR 400, and drive another 6 miles to Sylvan Lake. A daily pass is needed for any use of the park and campers are required to purchase a camping permit in addition. The road is kept plowed throughout the winter for ice fishing and other winter activities.

Directions from Vail: Travel west on I-70 to Eagle (exit #147). Turn left and drive into Eagle. Turn left on Capitol Street and follow to Brush Creek Road. Turn left and follow Brush Creek Road 10 miles south of Eagle. Turn right onto West Brush Creek Road, FDR 400, and drive another 6 miles to Sylvan Lake. A daily pass is needed for any use of the park and campers are required to purchase a camping permit in addition. Beecher Loop Mountain Bike Trail - The Beecher Loop is located south of Eagle on Hardscrabble Mountain. It is a long ride which is only moderately difficult, as it follows mostly gravel road, with a four mile section of jeep trail.

Eagle-Thomasville Road (ET Road) - This scenic dirt road travels from the town of Eagle, over Crooked Creek Pass, down to Thomasville, near Ruedi Reservoir.

Firebox Park Loop Mountain Bike Trail - The Firebox Park Loop is located south of Eagle, on Hardscrabble Mountain. It consists of a 4.5 mile climb on dirt road and 4 miles of mostly descent, on jeep trail.

McKenzie Gulch Trail - This trail south of Eagle, winds from West Brush Creek up through a scenic aspen forest.

Sneve Gulch Trail - This trail is easily accessed from Sylvan Lake State Park, south of Eagle, and provides a good view of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Sylvan Lake - Sylvan Lake, a 40 acre lake at 8,510 feet, offers non motorized boating opportunities, good fishing for brook and rainbow trout, and panoramic views of the surrounding alpine scenery.
