Yeoman Park Discovery Trail
This short interpretive trail at an elevation of 9000 ft is designed to accommodate those Forest visitors who are disabled. It is level terrain with a packed small gravel surface. This relatively straight trail passes through a stand of mature blue spruce and subalpine fir trees and ends at a bench overlooking one of Yeoman Park's small beaver ponds. There are several other log benches for rest along the way.

SPECIAL INTERESTS
INTERPRETIVE SIGNS - The Yeoman Park Discovery Trail has 7 unique interpretive signs focusing on the use of senses to explore nature. The signs were designed with many touchable features and they are accessible to those with disabilities. The natural subjects covered by the signs include Colorado mammals, wildflowers, rocks, trees, archaeology and water.

WILDLIFE - There are many opportunities along the trail to view the behaviors of common tree and ground squirrels. Mountain chickadees, Stealer's jays and gray jays often make appearances in the trees above.

Directions from Eagle: Follow the Brush Creek Road 10 miles south of Eagle. Turn left onto East Brush Creek Road, FDR 415 and drive another 6 miles to Yeoman Park. Enter the campground and drive to the end of Loop A (campsites in a wooded area). There is limited parking at the trailhead. Two vault toilets are available in Loop A.

Directions from Beaver Creek: Travel west on I-70 to Eagle (exit #147). Turn left and drive into Eagle. Turn left on Capitol Street and follow to Brush Creek Road. Turn left and follow Brush Creek Road 10 miles south of Eagle. Turn left on East Brush Creek Road, FDR 415. Travel 6 miles and turn right into the campground. Drive to the end of Loop A (campsites in a wooded area). There is limited parking at the trailhead. Two vault toilets are available in Loop A.
