A small forested campground located at the mouth of Homestake Valley. Homestake Creek is within walking distance for fishing. Homestake Road accesses many terrific hiking trails, check locally for details. Directions from Vail: Travel west on I-70 to exit 171, the Minturn exit. Turn right (south) from the off-ramp onto Highway 24. Follow Highway 24 south approximately 11.5 miles from I-70. Turn right onto Homestake Road #703. Follow this road 1 mile to the campground.
Directions from Beaver Creek: Travel east on I-70 to exit 171, the Minturn exit. Turn right (south) from the off-ramp onto Highway 24. Follow Highway 24 south approximately 11.5 miles from I-70. Turn right onto Homestake Road #703. Follow this road 1 mile to the campground.
