Three Forks offers the Forest Visitor a walk through a natural forested environment. The trail follows the creek with a number of crossings and beaver ponds along the way. The trail frequently passes through stands of spruce and aspen. The ridgetop offers an outstanding view of the East Rifle Creek drainage.
Directions from Rifle: Go north on Highway 13 approximately two miles. Turn right onto State Highway 325 and travel approximately 11 miles to the Forest Boundary. Continue on Forest Road 832 for approximately 2 miles, past the Spruce Picnic Area, to Three Forks Campground and Trailhead.
