The Heaton Bay Picnic Ground sits along Dillon Reservoir, between Frisco and Dillon. It is adjacent to Heaton Bay Campground.

Directions from Silverthorne: Go 4 miles west on I-70 to Frisco, Exit 203. Turn left at the exit, cross the highway overpass, then turn left onto the Dillon Dam Road. Go northeast for 1 mile to the picnic ground located on the right (east) side of the road next to the Heaton Bay Campground.

Directions from Vail: Travel 27 miles east on I-70 to the second Frisco exit (#203). Turn right at the exit, then turn left onto the Dillon Dam Road. Go northeast for 1 mile to the picnic ground located on the right (east) side of the road next to the Heaton Bay Campground.

Directions from Beaver Creek: Travel 36 miles east on I-70 to the second Frisco exit (#203). Turn right at the exit, then turn left onto the Dillon Dam Road. Go northeast for 1 mile to the picnic ground located on the right (east) side of the road next to the Heaton Bay Campground.
