Prairie Point Campground and Picnic Ground entrance

Prairie Point Campground is located north of Silverthorne, near the upper end of Green Mountain Reservoir along its west side. The campground is first-come, first-serve. A campground fee and an additional vehicle fee is charged.Facilities: Prairie Point has 33 camping sites with a total capacity of 165 people. It has vault toilets, water, and garbage service. Handicapped Accessibility: The campground has one handicapped accessible site, however, the toilet is NOT handicapped accessible.
Directions from Silverthorne: Go 14 miles north on HWY 9. Turn left onto FDR 30. Go 1.5 miles to the campground on the right (east) side of the road.
Directions from Beaver Creek: Travel 38 miles east on I-70 to Silverthorne. From Silverthorne go 14 miles north on Hwy. 9. Turn left onto FDR 30. Go 1.5 miles to the campground on the right (east) side of the road.
Directions from Vail: Travel 29 miles east on I-70 to Silverthorne. From Silverthorne go 14 miles north on Hwy. 9. Turn left onto FDR 30. Go 1.5 miles to the campground on the right (east) side of the road.

(NOTE: Service schedule will be reduced after Labor Day. Garbage service will be available as long as there is a fee charged. If a reduction in services occurs, a reduction in fees may coincide.)
