General Description

Traveling on the reservoir can be DANGEROUS BECAUSE OF THIN ICE. Travel at your own risk.

When the ice is stable, Dillon Reservoir offers flat, open terrain. a great place to "open up" your machine. You can spend the entire day exploring the many covers and inlets of the reservoir.

Directions from Frisco: Access #1: (Blue River Inlet) Turn on to Swan Mountain Road from Colorado 9, 3 miles south of Frisco at the Farmer's Korner Junction. Turn left into the inlet almost immediately after turning off Colorado 9.Access #2: (Frisco Bay) Turn east at the Frisco Main street traffic light and travel toward the reservoir.

Directions from Silverthorne: (Snake River Inlet) Follow US 6 toward Keystone for 3 miles. Turn right onto the Swan Mountain Road and continue 1/4 miles to the inlet on your right.

Directions from Beaver Creek: Travel 35 miles east on I-70 to the first Frisco exit (#201). Access #1: (Blue River Inlet) Turn on to Swan Mountain Road from Colorado 9, 3 miles south of Frisco at the Farmer's Korner Junction. Turn left into the inlet almost immediately after turning off Colorado 9.Access #2: (Frisco Bay) Turn east at the Frisco Main street traffic light and travel toward the reservoir. Turn right and drive through Frisco to Hwy 9. Turn right on Hwy. 9 and travel about 3 miles to Swan Mountain Road, on the east side of Dillon Reservoir.

Directions from Vail: Travel 25 miles east on I-70 to the first Frisco exit (#201). Access #1: (Blue River Inlet) Turn on to Swan Mountain Road from Colorado 9, 3 miles south of Frisco at the Farmer's Korner Junction. Turn left into the inlet almost immediately after turning off Colorado 9.Access #2: (Frisco Bay) Turn east at the Frisco Main street traffic light and travel toward the reservoir. Turn right and drive through Frisco to Hwy 9. Turn right on Hwy. 9 and travel about 3 miles to Swan Mountain Road, on the east side of Dillon Reservoir.
