TRAIL BEGINS: On Fish Creek about 1 mile west of Forest road #10046 about 4 miles north of Forest road #10128 (South Piney Creek Road).TRAIL ENDS: On the Wyoming Range National Recreation Trail #048, at Cheese Pass. ATTRACTIONS: Although the trail is steep after the first mile it is a quick way to the WRNRT, with excellent big game habitat and alpine meadows. The last part of the trail is talus and shale, where it is recommended that horses be walked. Grazing and water are available at the junction with the North Fork and just below Cheese Pass, where there are also good places to camp.
Directions from Big Piney: Go west on St. Hwy. 350 which becomes Forest road #10046. Just west of the forest boundary, turn south and go about 5 miles to the Fish Creek turnoff. Turn west on Fish Creek and park in any of the large open areas before the road goes into the trees. Continue west to the Fish Creek trailhead
