TRAIL BEGINS: On the Bondurant Creek Trail #135 about 1 mile south of the junction with Cliff Creek Trail #138.TRAIL ENDS: On the Upper Hoback Trail #131 about 1/2 mile west of the trailhead. ATTRACTIONS: From Bondurant Creek to Kilgore Creek, the Highline offers some of the most scenic views on the district, as well as good wildlife habitat in thick stands of pine. South of Kilgore Creek there is a confusing "T" as you climb out of the Kilgore drainage, at a log grain bin. the left fork is the original trail, while the right has not been surveyed. The connection with the trail that ends in the Upper Hoback drainage is difficult to find and needs to be marked.
Directions from US Hwy. 191-189, Hoback Canyon: About 4 miles NW of Hoback Guard Station turn south on the Cliff Creek Road and go the junction of Sandy Marshall Creek, cross Cliff Creek and go to the trailhead. Take Cliff Creek Trail #137 south about 2 miles to the Bondurant Creek Trail #135. Follow that about a mile to the sign at the junction of the Highline Trail.
