TRAIL BEGINS: 1/4 mile up Red Creek Road from US Hwy. 89TRAIL ENDS: Intersection with Little Red Creek Trail, on ridge just west of Red Peak. ATTRACTIONS: This trail has access to high ridges of Snake River Range and drainages beyond, with spectacular views of surrounding areas from the ridgecrest and summit of Red Peak at 9,771 feet. To make a loop trip, return via trail following ridge to west and descending along Little Red Creek to starting point (round trip: 10.4 miles).
Directions from Jackson: Follow Hwy. 89 south approximately 21 miles to Red Creek. Follow well used but rough jeep trail 0.25 miles to end of road and trailhead. Parking available along road. Trail goes right up the bottom of Red Creek for first mile.
