North Fork of Ditch Creek/Slate Creek Trail

TRAIL ENDS: at the mouth of Slate Creek.

ATTRACTIONS: This is a route through to Gros Ventre River drainage. It links to several other trails, including the Aspen Creek-Mt. Leidy Trail and the Dallas Fork Trail.

Directions from Jackson: Travel north on Hwy. 191 to Gros Ventre Road. Turn right and follow Gros Ventre Road to Road #30350. Turn left (north) and follow toward the Tteon Science School. Go past the school, following Ditch Creek Road to parking just below closure gate. Follow road and then trail along Middle Fork to junction with N. Fork Trail (+ or - 1 mile)

Normally Accessible: June through October .

Crystal Creek Campground - This campground is located northeast of Jackson, along the Gros Ventre River, above Lower Slide Lake. Nearby fishing and hiking is available.

Dallas Fork Trail - This trail accesses Slate Creek and Spread Creek Drainages. It starts 3 miles up Slate Creek Trail and ends at the South Fork of spread Creek.

Horsetail Creek Trail - This trail offers access to Slate Creek and Ditch Creek drainages. It begins on the north side of Gros Ventre road 2 miles east of Atherton Campground and ends at the Carmichael Fork of Slate Creek.
