General Description

The Mill A Basin Trail is a 3 mile trail accessible by hikers and backcountry skiers. The Mill A Basin Trail can connect you with the Desolation, Bowman Fork, and Butler Fork trails. As you climb in the basin there is a vista of Mineral Fork and Mill B South Fork across the canyon.

Directions from Salt Lake: Follow Big Cottonwood Canyon Road (7000 South Wasatch Blvd.) about 8.2 miles up the canyon to Butler Fork Trailhead (north side of the road, left). Take Butler Fork Trail about 1/2 mile to junction with Mill A Basin Trail and turn west (left).
