General Description

The Kenny Creek Trail is a 2 mile hike, horseback ride or backcountry ski trail. The trail begins at the Mueller Park Picnic Area, winds its way northeast through fairly heavy oakbrush stands, several open meadows, and tops out on the ridge separating Morgan County and Davis County. The view along the lower part of the trail is severely limited due to heavy vegetation cover, but as you gain elevation in the upper end it opens up allowing a much better view of the mountains. Due to the exposure, summer time midday temperatures can be very warm. Early morning and evening are more enjoyable times to hike this trail. This route has been maintained as a primitive trail.

Directions from Salt Lake City: Head north on I-15 and take the Woods Cross exit. Turn east on 2600 South and go 0.3 mile to Route 89. Take Route 89 north 0.4 mile to Route 106 North, follow it 0.4 mile to 1875 South. Turn east on 1875 South and follow road, it will turn into 1800 South. Continue 3.1 miles to Mueller Park Picnic Area entrance. Trailhead is at west end of picnic area on north side of the road (on left side of road about 1/2 block past first gate).
