General Description

The North Willow-Pass Canyon Trail is a 3.2 mile hike, bike, horseback ride, or backcountry ski trail. The trail traverses the ridge from east to west and provides panoramic views of Skull Valley. This route has been maintained as a primitive trail.

There are mines along the North Willow-Pass Canyon Trail, but the State of Utah recommends that you do not enter them for your safety.

Dogs and horses are allowed in the Stansbury Mountain Range. Please keep your dog leashed at all times at all developed areas and parking lots.

Directions from Salt Lake City: Access #1: Head west on I-80 and exit at Rowley Junction heading south on the Skull ValleyRoad. After traveling about 2 miles, turn east (left) onto Pass Canyon Road. Follow it to the end where the trail begins heading east. Access #2: Head west on I-80 and take the Stansbury-Tooele exit. Follow the signs to Grantsville. In Grantsville turn south on Cooley Street and head out of town. Turn west on the North Willow Canyon Road. Follow it to the Dragon Mine Road.
