Report: Hiked here from Red Box station on a holiday weekend in August. We were the only people camping here on a sat. night. Beautiful campground at convenient intersection of trails.
Conditions: Gabrielino trail has slid out in many places along the trail, be careful! Definitely bring your bug spray for this hike and campground
Water Availability: River was nearly dry but still enough water running in it to boil for food and the hike out.

Report: 6 miles in on the san gregornio trail, 3.3 out on the silver moccasin trail. Challenging hike back out (have to adlib trail at one section) but worth every step... The campground itself is one of the most beautiful I've seen in So. California.
