Report: Don't forget the 1600' elevation gain to get back to your car!
Conditions: I only passed through Lupine on a dayhike. It looked like a lovely place to stay. The valley it's in is broad and welcoming. There were lots of mule deer tracks around, but no other people. There were about 3 cars at Guffy. That was a Tuesday in August.
Water Availability: I didn't look for piped water, but hiking down from Pine Mtn. Ridge we encountered a little tributary creek about 1/5 mile from camp that had sufficient flow to fill a bottle (I'd treat it.)
