General Description

This campground sits in the midst of the giant sequoia grove that is Nelder Grove. The campground has seven sites with vault toilets. There is no potable water, showers, or RV hookups. No fee collected. An interpretive display offers insight to surroundings. There are 106 mature giant sequoias intermingled with secondary pine, fir, and incense cedar.

Directions from Oakhurst: Take Highway 41 north until you reach forest road 10. Take this north for five miles until you reach forest route 6S90. Take this road for about a mile north until you reach the campground in the Nelder Grove Historical Area.
