General Description

Located in the Pineridge Ranger District, this is a great beginner's route with a excellent view from Bald Mountain Summit. Bald Mountain is a 7,832 summit that is in close proximity to the Dinkey Creek Campgrounds. The road is gated for seasonal closure, but is typically open June to September.

The trail can be accessed by going west on Dinkey Creek Road for seven miles until you reach Rock Creek Road. Turn north here and you will find the trailhead about two miles up the road on the left.

Normally Open: June through September (NOTE: Seasonal closure of the gate subject to snowFall.) .

Report: trail was pretty washed out, and there was signifficant snow in some of the more wooded areas. there was countless jeeps, as i was the only truck at the end of the trail.
Conditions: there is always rocks, there was snow, there was i think two fallen trees, there was several water crossings but not much mud.
