This more difficult route gives access to Coyote Lake. The lake is well known for its camping and fishing opportunities. The 3.5 mile drive will present a challenge to beginner drivers, but is not the most difficult trail. The trail is relatively close to Huntington Lake and is surrounded by the Dinkey Lakes Wilderness area on the second half of the drive. This route provides a short drive to an area where there is primitive camping. Various trailheads are also found around Coyote lake . These trailheads are for foot traffic only and head into the Dinkey Lakes Wilderness.
