General Description

This rough road in a wilderness corridor originates from Edison Lake and goes into the Ansel Adams Wilderness. At five miles in length, it offers a nice day activity if you are camping in any of the High Sierra Recreation Area campgrounds. There are several trailheads at the end of this motorized trail for hiking into the wilderness area.

Directions from Fresno: Follow highway 168 70 miles north until you get to Huntington Lake. Follow forest road 80 for about 12 miles until you reach the lake.

Seasonal Information:
Normally Open: July through September .
