General Description

Herring Creek Campground is located west of the Emigrant Wilderness and seven miles south of Highway 108. It sits at 7,300 feet in a forested area along Herring Creek.

It has 48 campsites, stoves and pit toilets. No tables or water available

Directions from Pinecrest: Travel east along Highway 108 to Herring Creek Road. The campground is 7 miles south from Highway 108.

Normally Open: Early May through Late October .
