General Description

Talbot Creek is a native rainbow trout fishery located in a remote area. Approximately five miles north of French Meadows Reservoir, this creek provides fishing close to Talbot Campground.

Directions from Foresthill: Travel 36 miles east on Mosquito Ridge Rd. and proceed to the creek. The creek is located five miles above French Meadows Reservoir by Talbot Campground.

Picayune Creek Fishing Site - Talbot Creek is a native rainbow trout fishery located northeast of French Meadows Reservoir. This creek is half a mile past Talbot Creek on the right.

Talbot Campground - Talbot Campground is located five miles above French Meadows Reservoir at an elevation of 5,600 feet. The campground has 5 campsites and is on the Middle Fork of the American River. The Granite Chief area is nearby.
