General Description

North Fork Campground is located approximately 5 miles south of Emigrant Gap at an elevation of 4,400 feet. This campground has 17 campsites, with limited space for small trailers. Potable water and toilets are available on site. Fishing is available from this site.

Directions from Emigrant Gap: Travel south on Texas Hill Road for 5 miles and the campground will be on the right.

Normal Services Available: Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend (NOTE: may be open off season, but without managed services.) .

However the camp host was a nightmare! None of the campsites were marked so when we set up camp the host told us that it wasn't available. When we told him it wasn't marked as reserved he said it was his day off. Then he proceeded to drop the F bomb on us. Mind you we were 3 women. And he was drunk. Seriously this guy needs to go. We packed up our stuff after feeling very uncomfortable with the camp host and moved to a different campground. He ruined a great place to camp.
