General Description

Bear Valley Trail is a difficult 18 mile loop around the Bear Valley area at an elevation of 6,600 feet. Travel time is about 6 hours of four-wheeling.

Directions from Sierraville: Travel east on County Route #650 for approximately 7 miles. The trail begins off of Bear Valley Campground.

Seasonal Information:
Normally Open: Spring through Fall (NOTE: may be accessible year round, depending upon conditions.) .
