Bear Creek is located approximately 9.5 miles south of Truckee. There are small populations of brown trout, brook trout, and rainbow trout can be found in reaches of this creeks.
Directions from Truckee: Travel south on Hwy. #89 for 9.5 miles and the creek will be on the right.

Bear Creek Trail - The Bear Creek Trail is an easy 2 mile hike at an elevation of 5,280 feet. This trail gradually ascends and then descends along the southern side of Bear Creek Canyon, passing through an alpine setting of mixes conifers.
