Cottonwood Creek campground consists of 49 units. It is located approximately 4 miles south of Sierraville on Highway 89, north of Truckee. The campground is located along Cottonwood Creek within a mixed conifer forest. Piped water, vault toilets, and paved spurs are provided in each site. Each site has picnic tables, cooking stoves, and a campfire ring. Some sites contain design features to make them barrier- free for use by persons with disabilities.Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. Additional charge at campground for 3rd vehicle on all sites.
Directions: From Truckee, California, take Highway 80 north to Highway 89. Take Highway 89 north for 20 miles to the Cottonwood Creek Campground.
