Campground is located in a coniferous forest with a reservoir nearby. Summer days are warm to hot, evenings are cool. Restrooms and drinking water are provided. All roads and parking areas are paved. Sites are reservable from mid-May through early September. Some sites are available on a first come, first serve basis.Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. No refunds are given for bad weather. A per day per vehicle fee will be collected at the campground for extra vehicles beginning with the 3rd vehicle.
Directions: Take Highway 80 to the Foresthill Road, travel 17 miles east to Foresthill. Turn right on Mosquito Ridge Road and travel 34 miles east to the French Meadow Reservoir, the French Meadows Campground is on the south shore.
