The trail then climbs northeastward for four miles and intersects with North Fork Siouxon Trail #126, which is on state land. Huffman Peak Trail traverses the side of Huffman Peak, then follows the saddle for about 1.5 miles toward Siouxon Peak. The trail continues for another mile, ending on Forest Route 216.

The trail features Siouxon and Huffman Peaks, and views of Mount St. Helens, Mt. Hood, Swift Reservoir, Mt. Rainier, and Mitchell Peak. In addition, the trail offers a variety of forests, meadows, and rocky slopes.

Time of Day: afternoon
Length of Time: 7 hours on horseback
Difficulty: Hard
Number of People Encountered: 0-10 ppl
Recommend to a Friend: Not Recommended
Report: Would not take horses on this trail because there is many down trees and you end up having to turn back because you just can't go anymore. There is a lot of angry bees on this trail once you get up the mtn and on more level ground. I would not recommend this trail for anyone on horseback unless it becomes better maintained and you don't mind spending lots of time with bees
Conditions: Fallen trees you can't get around because one side is a cliff and the other is steep up a mtn bank. Lots of beees
Water Availability: plenty from the creek part way in
