General Description

Shorthorn Trail begins in Morrison Creek Campground, located on the southern slopes of Mt. Adams, and climbs north through sparse pine and over rocky slopes. It crosses Shorthorn Creek before intersecting with Round the Mountain Trail #9.

Directions from Trout Lake: Travel north Primary Forest Route 23 to Forest Route 80. Continue on 80 across the forest boundary and until it becomes Forest Route 8040. Take 8040 north to the Morrison Creek Campground where the trail begins.

Normally Accessible: Mid-July through October .
