General Description

Located on the Salmon River south of the Mount Hood Wilderness, Alpine Campground offers 16 camp sites at 5,400 feet elevation. The campground is accessed from Forest Road 173 and there are nearby trails for hiking. Drinking water is available.

Directions from Sandy: Travel east on Highway 26 past Government Camp to Road 173. Follow 173 north to the campground.

Normal Services Available: May through September (NOTE: Campground may be open beyond these dates with limited services available.) .
