General Description

Canton Creek Campground is located on Steamboat Creek a quarter mile from its confluence with the North Umpqua River. This site offers ready access to popular fishing holes on the North Umpqua, which is restricted to fly angling only. Steamboat Creek is closed to fishing. The Steamboat Inn is located a half mile west on Highway 138.

Facilities include a covered picnic gazebo, water hydrants, fireplaces, gray water waste sump, and garbage containers.

Directions from Roseburg: Travel east on Highway 138 23 miles past the North Umpqua Ranger Station to Steamboat Creek Road #38. Follow 38 about a quarter mile to the campground.

Normal Services Available: Late May through October (NOTE: Campground may be open beyond these dates with limited services available.) .
