General Description

Domke Lake, Stuart Camp, and Hatchery Campgrounds are located around Domke Lake, a two mile hike from Lucerne. Between the three areas, there are 8 tent sites with tables, fire rings, and one toilet per campground. The campground is a great access point for hikes to Domke Mountain. Lookout, up through Emerald Park to Milham Pass, and along Lower Railroad Creek to Holden Village. There is no fee for overnight use of this area.

Directions from Lucerne: 2 miles from Lucerne on Trails #1230 and #1280.

Domke Lake Trail - This comfortable one and a half hour hike from Lucerne to Domke Lake offers nice views of Lake Chelan.

Domke Mt. Lookout Trail - This day hike from Lucerne or Domke Lake climbs to the summit of Domke Mountain (4067 feet) and offers spectacular views of the surrounding area.

Emerald Park Trail (Chelan R. D.) - Located south of Lucerne, the trail offers occasional views of Domke Lake and Sawtooth Ridge as it climbs to Emerald Park and beyond from Domke Lake.

Lower Railroad Creek Trail - This trail takes off in the heavy timber near Domke Lake and travels up the south side of Railroad Creek to Holden Village.
