Campers Flat Campground is located approximately 23 miles south of Oakridge at an elevation of 2,000 feet. This campground has 5 sites with trailer space, grills and tables. Potable water and toilets are available.A small flat adjacent to the Middle Fork of the Willamette River, Camper's Flat is a pretty but small campground. The river drowns out the sound of the traffic on Road 21, which the campground is also adjacent to. There is an interpretive sign about the Oregon Central Military Wagon Road in the campground. Fishing is good with easy access to the water's edge. One can expect to catch Rainbow or Cutthroat Trout, or large scale suckers. Young's Rock Trailhead is across FS road 21 from the campground's entrance and is very popular with mountain bike riders.
Directions from Oakridge: Proceed 2 miles east on Hwy. 58 to Kitson Springs Road. Continue on Kitson Springs Road for 0.5 miles to FS road 21. Follow FS road 21 for 19 miles to Campers Flat Campground.
