Pipes Lake is located southwest of Natchez. It is a beautiful area located in rolling hills with pine and hardwood forest. Picnic tables are located on ridges overlooking the 14 acre lake and its many coves. The lake, with a concrete boat ramp, supports large mouth bass, bream and catfish. Hunting camps are available in the area as well. Facilities include five picnicking units, toilets, and a concrete boat ramp. No user fees. Handicapped Accessibility: The main access routes are gravel roads and parking areas. The steep terrain makes mobility difficult. Picnic sites and toilets are not handicap accessible. Overall, this area is not handicap accessible.
Directions from Gloster: Take Highway 33 north for 17 miles to Garden City. Turn left (west) on County Road 119 for 5 1/2 miles; turn left on County Road 121 for 1 1/4 miles; turn left at Pipes Lake sign on to Forest Service Road 121 A for 1 1/2 miles.
