General Description

Located on the far eastern/central edge of Arkansas, bordering the Mississippi River at one point, lies the imposing Crowleys Ridge. With an elevation of only 80 feet, this ridge also sustains two large lakes, one of which is Bear Creek Lake, and is the furthest of the two from the mighty Mississippi.

There is not a great deal of information on this site. And making a call to the St. Francis Ranger District netted very little information. It is very close to the lake and conveniently located at the entrance to the campground areas.

Directions from Marianna: Take State Rt. 44 east 7 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign into campground.

Seasonal Information:
Normally Open: Year-round .
