General Description

This site was the former homestead of the Lamping family. A small family cemetery remains. The campground is located on State Route 537, just 2 miles from historic SR 26. Lamping Homestead offers 6 walk-in campsites, 8 picnic sites and a picnic shelter. There are two loop trails for hiking, one at 3.5 miles and the other at 1.5 miles. A 2-acre pond at the site is stocked with bluegill, bass, and catfish.

State Route 26 from Marietta to Woodsfield is part of Ohio's Covered Bridge Scenic Byway.

Directions from Woodsfield, OH: Travel south along State Route 26 about 10 miles. Turn right onto SR 537 and proceed 2 miles.
