The Willis River Trail is a hiking, biking and equestrian trail that passes through Bear Creek Lake State Park and Cumberland State Forest. The land is a combination of gently rolling pastures and striking hardwoods. In the spring, the observant traveler can spot two rare wildflowers, jack-in-the-pulpit and lady's slipper. Many white-tailed deer, fox, raccoons and skunks live in this area and are spotted frequently.

Directions from Cumberland, VA: The park is located in Cumberland County just off Rt. 60. Take Rt. 60 to Rt. 622 and then south onto Rt. 629 to the park entrance. Take the Cumberland Multi-use trail for .3 mile where Willis River intersects.
