The Gregory Canyon Trailhead lies at the base of Flagstaff Mountain. It provides access to trails in the Boulder Mountain Park system; specifically Gregory Canyon Trail, Amphitheater Trail, Bluebell-Baird Trail and Saddle Rock Trail. The trailhead provides parking spaces for approximately twenty cars with toilets and picnic facilities. A permit is necessary to park at this trailhead and may be purchased in the parking area. A yearly pass for the Boulder Mountain Parks can be purchased at the Chautaugua Park Rangers' Cottage.

Directions from Highway 36: Take the Baseline Road exit and travel west toward the mountains. Follow Baseline Road 1.5 miles passed the entrance for Chautaugua Park to the Gregory Canyon Trailhead. Turn left into the parking lot on a dirt road. A parking fee is charged at this trailhead for vehicles not registered in Boulder County or not displaying a Boulder Resident Permit. (Permits can be obtained at the trailhead or at the Chautaugua Park Rangers Cottage.)

Amphitheater Trail - Amphitheater Trail leads from the Gregory Canyon Trailhead to the Saddle Rock Trail.

Bluebell-Baird Trail - Bluebell-Baird Trail crosses beneath the first Flatiron and connects the Chautaugua Trail to the Gregory Canyon Trailhead.

Gregory Canyon Trail - Gregory Canyon Trail leads west from the trailhead through Gregory Canyon. It splits into the Long Canyon Trail, right fork, and the Ranger Trail, left fork after 1.1 miles.

Saddle Rock Trail - The Saddle Rock Trail begins at the Gregory Canyon Trailhead and leads 1.3 miles southwestward to the Greenman Trail.
