This trailhead provides access to many trails around the Flatirons
Chautaugua Park Trailhead lies within the Boulder Mountain Parks system at the intersection of Baseline Road and Ninth Street. It provides access to hiking and climbing facilities as well as the historic district of the Boulder Chautaugua. The large parking area is free for visitors who can gain access to Chautaugua Trail, Mesa Trail, Baseline Trail, Bluebell Mesa Trail, Bluebell-Baird Trail and Royal Arch Trail.

Directions from Highway 36: Take the Baseline Road exit and travel west toward the mountains. Follow Baseline Road nearly 1.5 miles to the entrance for Chautaugua Park. Turn left into the park. Parking is free at this trailhead.

Baseline Trail - Baseline Trail is an easy trail that leads along Baseline Road within Chautaugua Park. It connects the Chautaugua parking area to the Gregory Canyon parking area.

Bluebell-Baird Trail - Bluebell-Baird Trail crosses beneath the first Flatiron and connects the Chautaugua Trail to the Gregory Canyon Trailhead.

Chautaugua Trail - This is a short, easy trail that leads toward the Flatirons from the Chautaugua Park Trailhead.

Mesa Trail - The Mesa Trail leads 6.9 miles north/south from the Chautaugua Park Trailhead to Mesa Trailhead near Eldorado Springs.

Royal Arch Trail - The Royal Arch Trail leads to a natural arch south of the third Flatiron. The hike is rated as moderate with a substantial gain in elevation.
