View from Dekkas Rock, Shasta Lake - McCloud Arm

Dekkas Rock Group Campground is a group area on the McCloud Arm of Shasta Lake. This year-round campground sits at approximately 1,085 feet elevation. Facilities include drinking water, vault toilets, picnic units, and trailer sites. Amenities provided: 8 large tables; 2 large pedestal grills, 1 large family barbecue grill, 2 campfire rings, and 4 unpaved parking spurs. An additional unpaved parking lot with 8 spaces is provided for boat trailers and overflow use. Recommended RV length is maximum 16 feet. Note: Sites are available adjacent to the lake, however, as summer progress, lake levels drop. A short hiking trail offers access to Hitz Bay Campground. Boating, fishing, and swimming are the main activities.
Directions from Redding, CA: Travel north on Interstate 5 about 15-20 miles to Gilman Road / Salt Creek Road. Dekkas Rock Group Campground is located on Gilman Road about 11 miles east of I-5.
