General Description

The Discovery and Braille Trails are a delightful wilderness experience for all who enjoy nature. These trails are specifically prepared for the physically challenged and visually impaired. Discovery Trail is designed for wheelchair access and the Braille Trail is designed for the visually impaired. The Braille Trail travels through a heavily wooded area, crosses an mountain stream and is equipped with nylon ropes and descriptive signs written in print and in braille. Both trails start from the same parking lot.

Directions from Aspen: Go Southeast from Aspen on Highway 82 for 12 miles. You will pass the 53 mile marker about 1 mile before the trailhead on the right. A sign will appear on the right before the trailhead.
